The following conditions apply to all visitors to, or users of this website and to bookings made through the website or directly with Skillset First Aid.

By accessing the Skillset First Aid website website, the user acknowledges acceptance of these terms and conditions. Skillset First Aid reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time at its own discretion. It is your responsibility to familiarise with these terms and conditions regularly and ensure you have an understanding. Use of this website after a change of content will signify your acceptance of the modified terms and conditions.

If you do not accept the terms of this policy, you may not use this website.

Unless otherwise stated, the copyright and other intellectual property rights in all materials on this website are owned by Skillset First Aid. Skillset First Aid authorises you to copy materials published on this website solely for your own personal information and non-commercial use. You may not modify, distribute, publish, transmit, reproduce, store or create derivative works of any material found on this site for any public or commercial purposes.The logos and service marks (“Marks”) displayed on this website are the property of Skillset First Aid or other third parties. These terms and conditions represent the entire understanding relating to the use of this website and supersede all other statements, representations or warranties (whether written, made by email or oral) made by Skillset First Aid. Any rights not expressly granted in these terms and conditions are reserved by Skillset First Aid

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Disputes arising in connection with this legal notice shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Payment

Course fees, including any additional transfer charges, are due in full prior to the course taking place. Arrangement for payment after the course date must be made prior to the course and agreed with Skillset First Aid in writing (email is acceptable). In the event of late payment we reserve the right to cancel delegates' course bookings.We also reserve the right to charge interest on outstanding invoices at the rate of 2% per calendar month.

Payment can be made using our online booking system or where booking is made by telephone or email, via BACS. Bookings are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email. In the event that Skillset First Aid cannot confirm your booking for any reason, the fee paid will be returned in full.

In the unlikely event of cancellation of a course by Skillset First Aid, candidates will be offered places on alternate course or full refund. Skillset First Aid will accept no further liability in relation to cancelled courses, irresepective of reason for cancellation.

Open courses: Cancellation or transfer

All cancellations and transfers for open courses must be requested in writing to info@skillset-firstaid.co.uk or via telephone on 01664 560483. A fee may be charged for cancellation or transfer and waiving or reduction of this fee is at the sole discretion of Skillset First Aid. You may substitute a delegate with another with no charge but please contact us in advance of your course if you wish to do this. For First Aid Work Requalification the substitute delegate must possess and present a valid and suitable First Aid at Work certificate.

Cancellation Fees:

Less than 7 days notice of cancellation: 0% Refund - Transfer may be possible subject to 25% fee to next course if place available. Transfer fee is required to be paid at time of transfer.

Less than 14 days but more than 7 days notice of cancellation: 25% Refund. Transfer may be possible subject to 25% fee to next course if place available. Transfer fee is required to be paid at time of transfer.

Less than 21 days days but more than 14 days notice of cancellation: 50% Refund. Transfer may be possible subject to 25% fee to next course if place available. Transfer fee is required to be paid at time of transfer.

More than 21 days notice: 100% refund or free transfer onto next available course.

Group Bookings off site. Cancellation charges:

Less than 3 working days notice: 0% Refund

Less than 14 days notice but more than 3 working days notice: 60% Refund

More than 14 days notice: 100% refund

Discounts and Offers

From time to time Skillset First Aid may offer discounts or advertise other special offers. Only one offer/discount can be used at any one time unless expressly stated otherwise by Skillset First Aid. if you are in any doubt you must assume only a single discount will be offered.

Value Added Tax (VAT)

La Haze Limited trading as Skillset First Aid, is not required to register for VAT at this time. In the event that this position changes, prices will be advertised on the website as course cost plus VAT. During the transition period, any courses booked under the belief that no VAT wold be charged will be refunded.

Legal interpretation

The materials, training and courses provided by Skillset First Aid cannot be relied upon for legal interpretation. Neither Skillset First Aid nor its employees, trainers or consultants can accept responsibility for delegates’ actions, or those of other people reading the course notes or interpreting the training in litigation, or responsibility for any loss incurred as a result of relying on the training or the training notes.

Privacy statement

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Authorized employees within the company on a need to know basis only use any information collected from individual customers. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our customers. Parliament has created specific offences for unauthorised actions against computer systems and data. We will investigate any such actions with a view to prosecuting and/or taking civil proceedings to recover damages against those responsible

Confidentiality

We are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and as such, any information concerning the Client and their respective Client Records may be passed to third parties. However, Client records are regarded as confidential and therefore will not be divulged to any third party, other than our suppliers and if legally required to do so to the appropriate authorities. Clients have the right to request sight of, and copies of any and all Client Records we keep, on the proviso that we are given reasonable notice of such a request. Clients are requested to retain copies of any literature issued in relation to the provision of our services. Where appropriate, we shall issue Client’s with appropriate written information, handouts or copies of records as part of an agreed contract, for the benefit of both parties.
